Open Call: Notions of home

This photograph to me represents myself navigating through heteronormative spaces as a queer person of color. The fact that it’s taken in a religious space gives it this sense of importance of finding ones self, just as the wilting flower allows the other to bloom and witness a new beginning. (photograph was taken in 2017)
