Open Call: Notions of home

Seeing her laugh. In that light. This picture reminds me of the gatherings we would have at our home. Friends and family from all over Los Angeles, sometimes from all over the world depending on who’s in town. The events were always filled with smiles, hugs, food, song and laughter. It was amazing. It’s more amazing that in this image it feels like a bygone era. Covid came and we haven’t gathered like this since. We will, of that I’m sure, but this image grabs me. It was captured on my Leica M6 and I still can’t believe the shot. An iconic image for all the right reasons.
